Silver Lake Trustee Chris Willkomm scoops up geese waste from DeWitt Park beach Thursday.
Recent rainy weather has had the unpleasant effect of washing a lot of geese waste from Silver Lake onto DeWitt Park beach.
With the village Public Works Department already short-handed, Trustee Chris Willkomm decided Thursday to take the matter into his own hands. Well not exactly his hands, but you get the idea. Willkomm went down to the beach Thursday afternoon to scoop waste off the beach.
The effort no doubt made it more pleasant for the many users of the beach there on a warm, sunny day.
