Severe thunderstorm warning issued by National Weather Service

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for all of Kenosha County until 5 p.m.

UPDATE  4:03 p.m. — Reports of multiple trees down, in Twin Lakes and Salem. Storm producing winds up to 50 mph according to National Weather Service.

UPDATE 4:04 p.m. — Heavy rain and wind over Paddock Lake now. Radar link.

UPDATE 4:07 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue responding to 9700 block of 276th Avenue for bushes on fire. Report of pole hanging over railroad tracks in Silver Lake in 200 block of  Railroad St.

UPDATE 4:08 p.m. — Kenosha County Center’s power may be out due to lightning strike.

UPDATE 4:09  p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue responding to report of a tree on power lines with the tree catching fire in the 16300 block of 60th Street.

UPDATE 4:12 p.m. — Rain and wind somewhat lighter now in Paddock Lake.

UPDATE 4:19 p.m. — Deputy responding to report of road blockage by tree in the 12600 block of Bristol Road (Highway 45).

UPDATE 4:21 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue responding to report of tree and wires down in the 24800 block of 84th Street.

UPDATE 4:23 p.m. — Traffic signals out at Highway 50 and B.

UPDATE 4:31 p.m. — Rain and wind light again in Paddock Lake.

UPDATE 4:32 p.m. — Twin Lakes Fire Department dispatched to 1800 Willow for a tree on fire.

UPDATE 4:34 p.m. — Radar shows more storms on the way.

UPDATE 4:36 p.m. — Deputy reports that a good Samaritan with a huge forklift just cleared a tree for him. He was dispatched to 12300 block of Highway 45 for a tree blocking entire road.

UPDATE 4:38 p.m. — Salem Fire/rescue dispatched to 9200 block of Camp lake Road for a wire on fire about 59 yards from a residence.

UPDATE 4:40 p.m. — Twin Lakes police officer reporting power outage in part of village due to tree damage.

UPDATE 4:47 p.m. — Dispatch reports a tree fell on a house in the 23400 block of 126 Place.

UPDATE 4:51 p.m. — Rain and wind seem to be picking up again in Paddock Lake.

UPDATE 4:52 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue-Trevor Station being dispatched to a report of a smoking wire behind a residence in the 12700 block of 228th Avenue.

UPDATE 4:54 p.m. — Deputy investigating report of a raod hazard in the 13000 block of State Line Road.

UPDATE 4:55 p.m. — Wires down on School Street in Silver Lake.

UPDATE  5:02 p.m. — County dispatch reports a house with structural damage in the 11100 block of 270th Avenue.

UPDATE 5:08 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue dispatched to 10200 block of 187th Court for a tree down on a wire.

UPDATE 5:09 p.m. — County dispatch reports that several trees down have blocked State Line Road at Highway WG.

UPDATE 5:12 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue-Trevor Station crew responding to St. Benedict’s Abby have access blocked by tree over entrance. The travel over grass to gain access.

UPDATE 5:14 p.m. — County dispatch reporting some flooding in northbound lanes of I-94 south of Highway 50.

UPDATE 5:32 p.m. — Deputy reports that eastbound lanes of Highway C are blocked just west of I-94, but westbound lanes are OK.

UPDATE 5:36 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue-Trevor Station being dispatched to 22700 block of 126th Street for a tree down on a power line with the tree on fire.

UPDATE 6:05 p.m. — Bristol Fire and Rescue dispatched to a report of a tree that has fallen on wires and is burning in the 16400 block of Highway K.

UPDATE 6:08 p.m. — Rain down to drizzle in Paddock Lake. Some blue visible to west.

UPDATE 6:15 p.m. — Road blockages reported at Highway W and JB and on Rock Lake Road.

UPDATE 6:17 p.m. — Highway D in 700 block partially blocked by down tree.

UPDATE 6:20 p.m. — Rains has stopped in Paddock Lake.

UPDATE 6:22 p.m. — Deputy blocking traffic on south Highway MB at Highway K at request of Bristol Fire.

UPDATE 6:42 p.m. — Looking at the sky to the west and thinking, “What storm?” But deputies continue to check out reports of downed trees.

UPDATE 6:43 p.m. — Deputy reports tree blocking entrance to Bong State Recreation Area.

UPDATE 8:13 p.m. — National Weather Service: Another round of thunderstorms possible tonight.
