We received some new details about the Wheatland Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival and Dance to be held at New Munster Park June 25, 26 and 27 and thought we share them and a round-up of the whole event again.
Kid’s activities Saturday and Sunday will include:
- Dual Lane Racing Slide
- Moon Walk Bounce House
- Obstacle Course
- Toddler Town
- Sno-Cones / Cotton Candy
- 7 different Carnival Games
- Prize Redemption area.
Wrist bands for the rides can be purchased now at the Wheatland Convenience Center or Wheatland Town Hall. Unlimited All Day Wrist Band – $15; Unlimited 2 Day Wrist Band – $25 (Advance Purchase only). All bounce house rides will also accept tickets that can be purchased at the Ticket Booth. Tickets are good for games, rides, sno-cones, and cotton candy. Ticket cost is 25 cents each or 25 tickets for $5.
Satruday’s parade begins at 1 p.m. and will travel along Geneva Road in Downtown New Munster. Arrive early to get a good spot and prepare to bring home candy and treats.
An Interactive Kids Show will follow the parade under the pavillion in New Munster Park.
Other activities for the weekend include:
- Flight for Life landing / showing at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
- Waterfights Saturday and Sunday. Business waterfights will take place Saturday. Registration is at 1:30 p.m. with competition starting at 2 p.m. The waterfights are open to anyone over 18. Teams must have four people, with at least one female participant. There is a $25 per team entry fee. Fire Departments compete Sunday.
- Softball tournament all three days.
- Dance Friday and Saturday nights with music starting at 9 p.m. FLOOG will play Friday and BOOGIE MEN Saturday.
