Central Falcons baseball team hosted the Broncos of Union Grove Tuesday in a Southern Lakes Conference tilt.

The Broncos jumped out to a quick lead in the first inning by successfully being patient against Central starter Austin Damaschke. The Broncos’ patience resulted in a five- run lead and they made that lead hold up.

Brian Kretschmer came in to relieve and kept the Falcons close, but they just could not overcome the initial deficit. Despite Nick Poepping, Kris Edmonds, Timmy Clark and Johnny Wilson all delivering key hits, the Falcons battled back but could not get any closer than the final score of 8-6.
