The Kenosha H.O.G. Chapter held its annual bike blessing Sunday.
The ride, which law enforcement estimated had some 700 bikes, staged at Uke’s Harley Davidson in Kenosha. A little after 11 a,m, the bikes started rolling out under police escort toward Highway 50. They paraded through Paddock Lake and west on Highway 50 to New Munster where they started working south to Twin Lakes and Calvary Congregational Church of Christ, where th ride ended and the blessing took place. So many bikes were packed into the church parking lot some bikes were diverted into the nearby Lakewood School parking lot.
This was the 12th year the church and H.O.G. chapter worked together on a blessing. The event was originally organized by Dottie Young, a Kenosha H.O.G. member who also was the organist at Calvary Congregational.
