The National Weather Service is saying heavy rain todya is expected to puch the Fox River at the New Munster measuring station into flood stage today.
A flash flood watch and a fllod warning have been issued for the area.
But with rain ending today and none in the forecast again until Monday, the river is expected to begin receding Sunday and perhaps be back down below flood stage Wednesday.
Temps are forecast for highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s throughout that period as well.
