Paddock Lake sets special meeting

Paddock Lake has set a special meeting for Thursday to reconsider issuing a temporary certificate of compliance for Central High School’s multi-sport stadium.

The certificate was rejected by the board on April 21, the last regular meeting citing concerns over several safety items.

Since then, representatives of the school district and the village have met and worked out those issues. The district asked for a special meeting so the board could consider issuing the permit in time for the district to host a girls’ soccer game yet this season and to use the stadium for sports camps this summer.

Also  on the agenda is a motion for approval of a salt contract with the state and citizens comments.

The meeting will start at the village municipal building, 6969 236th Ave., Paddock Lake.
