Crane Farm to host Dairy Breakfast

A team effort is needed to scramble the omelets in the six-foot in diameter frying pan used at the Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast. Each batch consists of a 5 gallon bucket of eggs, a half pound of butter and 3 pounds of cheese.

The Kenosha County Dairy Breakfast is an annual event held the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend to celebrate our hard-working dairy farmers and give attendees a chance to visit a working dairy farm and enjoy a dairy-rich breakfast.

The breakfast will take place this year at Crane Farm, 29320 31st St (Highway JB), Wheatland on June 19 from 6 to 10 a.m.

Tickets $6, with children 6 and under free. There will be general and handicap parking on site (weather permitting).

The breakfast will include scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, bread and butter, yogurt, muffins, milk, orange juice, and ice cream.

Besides the good eats, morning on the farm that day will include: milking demos, a cheese tasting, an ice cream eating contest, a farmer Q&A panel, old-fashioned children’s games and much more.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Rachael Crane at 206-8149.
