Bristol Safety Fair is Saturday, May 8

Last year's Bristol Safety Fair (above) focused mostly on bicycles. Plans for this year's event call for an expanded line-up of activities.

Bristol’s second annual Safety Fair will take place Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Planned activities include:

  • Bristol Fire Department wellness check that includes blood pressure check.
  • A fire extinguisher training/demo.
  • File for life information for the elderly.
  • Fire department open house.
  • Car seat check.
  • Deputy Friendly with information on Neighborhood Watch and D.A.R.E.
  • Emergency management will offer information on preparedness and CERT programs.
  • The Village/ Town of Bristol will give away free trees to transplant in honor of Arbor Day.
  • The Public Safety Department will offer free bicycle registration for all Bristol residents and offer a safety course as well.

Participating organizations include:

  • Safe Kids Coalition of SE Wisconsin.
  • Bristol Fire Department.
  • Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Kenosha County CERT members.
  • Aurora Hospitals and United Hospitals.
  • Bristol Public Safety Department.

The fair will take place at the Bristol Fire Department and Municipal Building, 19801 83rd St., Bristol, rain or shine.
