Paddock Lake celebrates Arbor Day and gets new Tree City USA flag

Kim Sebastian, Wisconsin DNR, and Paddock Lake Trustee Karen Harris display the village's new Tree City USA flag. Only Paddock Lake and Kenosha have the designation in Kenosha County.

Paddock Lake celebrated Arbor Day Saturday with a tree planting in Pathway Glen Park.

The ceremony helps the village retain its Tree City USA designation. This is the 11th year the village has earned that honor. It was presented with a new Tree City USA flag by Kim Sebastian of the state Department of Natural Resources.

The ceremony was co-ordinated by village Trustee Karen Harris. The Autumn Blaze Red Maple planted at the park was donated by Ludwig Nursery of Brighton, which also is the village’s partner in its tree beautification program.
