The Twin Lakes Village Board Monday approved a proposal by a group to hold monthly garden tractor pull events in the village.
Vickie Bushnell, owner of the property on Lance Drive near Bayview Avenue where the events will be held, made the request last month on behalf of the State Line Tractors Association.
- Among the several conditions that the village is requiring of the group include:
- An event one Saturday per month.
- Strict adherance to the group’s rules, which call for using stock tractors with engines no larger than 20 horsepower.
- If the group tracks excessive mud onto the roadway it will be responsible for clean-up.
- An insurance certificate indicating $1 million liability coverage must be presented to the village before the first event.
