After a mechanical recount and a hand recount the County Board District 24 election still goes to Erin Decker.
“We did find discrepancies in the counts from the machine to the physical hand count, but the results stayed the same,” County Clerk Mary Schuch-Krebs reported, saying Decker tallied two more votes than incumbent Roger Johnson.
Johnson had asked for the recount after initial totals showed him losing to Decker by three votes.
A machine recount was done Monday, but a problem with a machine was discovered, prompting Johnson to seek the hand count.
