Central gets over first hurdle for using stadium for soccer

The Paddock Lake Planning Commission Monday gave a favorable recommendation for the granting of a temporary certificate of compliance to use the schools incomplete multi use sports complex and amend the school’s conditional use permit, said School Board President Mary Ellen Pearsall.

The next step will be for the Village Board to grant the certificate. The board meets April 21.

If that happens, the school could yet use the stadium for the remaining girls soccer home games this spring.

Both the village and school district representatives acknowledge there are other obstacles, however, to approval being granted soon for use of other parts of the athletic facilities project such as tennis courts being constructed on the southwest side of the campus.
