Spring food drive to benefit The Sharing Center

Mike Underhill, candidate for Kenosha County supervisor Dist. 23, is sponsoring his first annual spring food drive this Saturday,  April 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Lakeside SuperValu Plaza parking lot, 25300 75th St., Paddock Lake.

Community members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food, baby and hygiene items.

Localy just this past weekend the Boy Scouts did one of their hang a bag on the door food drives. Except they didn’t hang them a week ahead of time in my neighborhood, they missed the previous Saturday, somthing about the weather, and just knocked and said ” hey, can you help.” Not one to turn down a Little Cub Scout we put a few items in the bag. I then read that their food went to everybody except the Sharing Center. Hey Cub Scouts, How about a percentage to the local food bank next time?
