Brian Suchecki

Court records show Brian D. Suckecki, 37, of Twin Lakes,  has pleaded guilty to:

  • Felony murder-armed robbery.
  • Armed robbery.
  • Felon in possession of a  firearm.

Suchecki is scheduled for sentencing on May 28.

Also charged in connection  with the case are:

  • John M. Navigato, 50, of Bristol. His case is scheduled for a hearing on May 25.
  • Richard J. Beeter, 54, of Lake Villa, Ill. His case is scheduled for a jury trial status hearing June 28 with a jury trial scheduled for July 6.
  • Teddy W. Bieker, 19, of Kenosha. His case is scheduled for a motion hearing on May 25.

Leydel was killed Oct. 13 after three men entered his home on Highway K in Brighton around midnight. He died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.

While the men were still in the home, Leydel’s wife called 911 to report the incident. A sheriff’s deputy on patrol in neighboring Paddock Lake responded to the call and saw a car leave the Leydel’s driveway. He pulled that car over after being joined by another deputy. The four suspects were in that car, Sheriff’s Department officials said. Three guns were also found by deputies in the vehicle.
