Wilmot hosts Special Olympics basketball tournament

Special Olympics of Southeastern Wisconsin had their basketball tournament at Wilmot Union High School on Saturday March 6.

Forty one teams participated throughout the day. The teams that qualify move on to regional competition in Milwaukee on March 28. The teams that qualify at the regional competition move on to State competition April 9-11 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Wilmot’s Student Council provided crafts and socialization and showed movies in the auditorium throughout the day. A large number of students and staff volunteered to help with the event along with other organizations like The Lion’s Club, M& I Bank, Jobs Daughters, Wilmot’s Booster Club.
