Salem School primary grades principal Shawn Waller told the School Board this week that he would like to have the school host summer school again this year, as it has in the past.
Under the working schedule, students would attend weekdays from June 17 through July 15, with the exception of July 5. Classes take place from 7:40 to 11:30 a.m.
Last year the program had 400 students, Waller said.
Summer school is useful for both remedial and enrichment activities, as well as benefiting the district financially, Waller said.
