Members from the Paris, Riverview, Salem and Bristol Battle of the Books teams prepare for the first day of competition.
This year’s Westosha Area Battle of the Books got started today at host Bristol School.
Teams from Bristol, Riverview, Paris, Salem, Wheatland, Union Grove, Freidens, Bethany Lutheran, Yorkville and Raymond are participating.
The competition will continue the next two Mondays.
In Battle of the Books, students prepare by reading a list of books. This year there were 39 titles on the list.
In the competition, the teams compete to correctly answer questions about the books they read.
