At 11:14 a.m., units from Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to a report of a multi-vehicle crash at Highways 83 and AH, Salem.
First unit on scene reports that there are two vehicles involved, with moderate damage.
UPDATE 11:18 a.m. — There’s a pole down and wires across the road.
UPDATE 11:21 a.m. — Pole appears to be a traffic signal standard. State Department of Transportation has been notified.
UPDATE 11:26 a.m. — Vehicles involved are a van and a car. Van has front-end damage. The car has sufficient damage to require a flatbed for towing.
UPDATE 11:35 a.m. — Two people being transported to the hospital.
