Bristol — the village and the town — will be making a donation to the Deputy Friendly Safety Poster Contest.
The town had traditionally made a $200 donation to the contest, typically used to purchase bikes.
Since the northwest corner of the town was incorporated as a village Dec. 1, the Town Board has been acting as an interim village board and holding two meetings, one after the other.
On Monday, the donation was on the Village Board’s agenda. Board member John McCabe asked if the donation of bikes will be actually one from the town and one from the village.
Acting Chairman Rich Gossling said the donation would be given as from the town and village, though it officially will be a village expense.
