Snow update: .75 inch on ground, schools open, maybe 12 inches today

As of about 6:30 a.m., we’ve had about .75 of an inch of snow fall on the West of the I weather railing.

West of the I public schools are not announcing closures, so it looks like they’re open. (Kenosha Unified closed as did most parochial schools east of the I.)

The latest forecast calls for 6 to 12 inches of accumulation today.

Sounds like the worst could come later in the day when winds are expected to pick up and blow the snow around.
