Silver Lake celebrated 12th Night with a large bonfire of Christmas trees and wreaths Wednesday night.
The fire warmed about 35 people gathered to watch. Several firefighters watched over the flames as well.
Trees donated by people disposing of them were used for the fire. trees were still being dropped off even minutes before the pile was lit.
Conveniently, the fire took place just outside of the fire station. Those attending were also treated to cookies and cocoa inside the fire station.
Trustee Ann Augustin, who coordinates the event, said it was the 14th year for a 12th night celebration in the village.
