More details have emerged on the Paddock Lake 50th anniversary t-shirt contest.

Trustee Karen Harris, who is coordinating the contest, said entries will be accepted from Jan. 4 through Feb. 1. Designs should be made with a maximum size of 8 by 10 inches. They can be designed in two or three colors.

The contest is only open to residents of the village.

Each entry should include the designer’s name, address and phone number. However, during judging each design will be assigned an identifying number, which will be the only means of i.d. available to the judges. The contest will be judged by members of the Central High School Art Department, Harris said.

The winning designer will receive $100. Joe and Ann Riesselmann, village residents and local business owners (Joe also is a village trustee), donated the prize money.

If all goes well, the t-shirts are expected to be available for purchase on May 1, Harris said. Proceeds from the sale will help fund the planned 25th 50th anniversary celebration next summer.

Not a huge deal, but the Village wil be celebrating 50 years this year not 25.
