Twin Lakes has a plan

The Twin Lakes Plan Commission and Village Board have approved an update to the village’s land use plan.

The plan and an accompanying color map and table of uses are available at the village’s website.

Village President Howard Skinner pointed out that the uses called for in the plan do not override existing uses, but are for future planning.

The approvals of the plan came following a public hearing on the plan held last week.

Starting in 2002, Twin Lakes partnered with Randall to develop a Joint Comprehensive Plan to meet the requirements of Wisconsin’s Smart Growth Law. The update includes all of the area under the village’s planning jurisdiction. That includes all of the village and, under state extrajurisdictional provisions, nearly all of Randall and parts of Salem, Wheatland and Bloomfield.
