At 9:05 p.m., multiple units from Salem Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue are responding to a garage fire in the 8900 block of 270th Avenue, Salem.
UPDATE at 9:08 — It is an attached garage and people are reportedly out of the house, according to radio transmissions.
UPDATE at 9:09 — Dispatch is receiving multiple calls that the house is now also on fire. Some reported hearing an explosion.
UPDATE at 9:14 — Garage is detached, a unit on the scene said. Garage is “fully engulfed.”
UPDATE at 9:16 — Traffic to be closed on Highway AH.
UPDATE at 9:21 p.m. — We Energies being called to scene.
UPDATE at 10:04 p.m. — We Energies is on the scene and fire is under control, Salem comand reports via radio.
