The Score delivers sports equipment to Salem School

Salem School students help unload the sports equipment donation by The Score 670 Am radio station to the Salem Booster Club.

Two weeks ago two radio hosts Team Mully and Hanley from The Score 670 AM collected donations on behalf of the Salem Booster Club during a broadcast from Union Station, Chicago.

Today the goods were delivered in two boxes that contained 15 basketballs, a bucket of softballs, bats, batting helmets, volleyballs  and other miscellaneous equipment.

Here’s some video of the goods arriving and some students getting a first look at the haul:

Booster Club President John Philippi said he was pleased with the donation and that it contained many items that the school will be able to make good use of.

“The batting helmets are huge because they’re so expensive,” Philippi said.
