Debbie Hecketsweiler shared this photo and the following report on the Wheatland Center School holiday program from Tuesday night:
Wheatland Center school knew how to throwdown a hoedown Tuesday night in front of a full house for their annual K-4th grade holiday program.
Cowboys and cowgirls lassoed in the audience for a jolly good time with the “Christmas At The O-K Corral” themed event, led by music teacher, Amy Schneider.
There was no shortage of hootin’ and hollerin’ from audience members as the students sang and dosey doe’d to some timely holiday favorites, as well as some good ‘ol “kick up yer heels” tunes that led to bouts of applause and belly-burstin’ laughter from the crowd.
Lalo, the cowboy made a grand entry with his lasso, as did “Bubble Gum Bart”, who made some surpisingly new friends. Topping off the evening was the “all grades” finale where singers and dancers alike joined together in the corral for a very festive song and dance routine, finishing out a “YeeHaaa” performance.
