At 7:11 p.m., fire and rescue units from Salem and Bristol are responding to a residence in the 6500 block of 247th Avenue in Paddock Lake. Apparently something in an oven there caught fire, but was out out by residents who threw flour on it. However, there is a good deal of smoke in the home, radio transmissions said.

UPDATE at 7:15 p.m. — The Bristol and some of the Salem units are being sent back to the station on the advice of the first personnel on the scene.

UPDATE at 7:25 p.m. — Fire is out and was contained to the stove.
