At 1:22 p.m., Flight for Life is responding to the scene of a three-vehicle crash in the 14100 block of Highway K along the Bristol/Paris border.
Two vehicles are involved, with a third vehicle with some minor involvement. The Bristol Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies are on the scene.
Emergency crews are working to free one person from a vehicle, according to radio transmissions.
Paris Fire Department also is responding to the scene.
UPDATE 1:51 p.m.: Flight for Life is on the ground.
UPDATE 1:56 p.m.: Tow trucks being called for a “demolished” Chevrolet Lumina and a Ford truck with a lift or crane in the back, which are being taken into evidence, according to radio transmissions.
UPDATE 6:42 p.m.: The driver of the Lumina, John E. Rukstales, 24, of Kenosha was pronounced dead upon his arrival at Froedert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa via Flight for Life, a Sheriff’s Department press release said. The driver of the Ford F-450 truck sustained only a minor ankle injury and was not transported by rescue. The driver of the third vehicle, a Ford Escort, was uninjured.
