The Salem Community Foundation is looking to catch people up on its most recent activities.
The foundation was incorporated in early June 2009 and is a tax exempt non profit organization. Therefore, all donations are tax deductible on an individual’s tax return.
The group’s initial purpose was to identify alternate sources of funding for Salem School. Since that time, its leaders recognized that they had a valuable service that could be offered to all students in western Kenosha County.
A statement issued by the group says it has recently applied for three grants on behalf of Salem School and has recently started to raise funds for its activites through scrips programs.
The whole statement is available here.
Info about the scrips programs is available here and here.
