At 12:08 p.m., deputies are responding to the report of a crash on Interstate 94 at Highway ML. The crash is in the southbound lanes and is causing “a major traffic problem” according to scanner transmissions. A car and a semi-tractor trailer are reportedly involved.
UPDATE 12:11 p.m.: State trooper at scene reports the driver of the car is reporting no injuries.
UPDATE 12:14 p.m.: State trooper says driver of the car has changed her mind about needing rescue. He says she “is pretty shook up.” Pleasant Prairie fire and rescue crews being dispatched to scene.
UPDATE 12:18 p.m.: Bristol fire and rescue units also responding to the scene.
UPDATE 12:21 p.m.: Scene is in right under the Highway ML bridge in an area of I-94 that is under construction.
UPDATE 12:46 p.m.: Both lanes open again.
UPDATE 1 p.m.: Traffic still backed up to Highway 50 in southbound lanes, a deputy reports.
