Students in Salem School’s cup stacking club will be going for a world record attempt Thursday.
The Salem students will be participating in the Fourth Annual World Sport Stacking Association STACK UP! The event is sanctioned by the Guinness Book of World Records.
In sport stacking , students stack up and down specially designed cups in prescribed patterns at fast speed. It originated in the early 1980s in Southern California.
The Salem stackers will be doing their part for the record from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the school.
More details and a permission slip are available. You do not have to be in the club to participate in Thursday’s event, but the child will need the permission slip signed.
