The Central High School District of Westosha will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Oct.. 20, at 7 p.m. at the school.
The annual meeting is unique for Wisconsin school districts. At these meetings, residents hear a presentation on the school’s budget for the school year and then get a chance to vote on the tax levy, the portion of the district’s revenue that will come from property taxes.
The district is proposing a total tax levy of $8,171,612 for the current school year. Last year’s total levy was $6,864,857.
Most area districts are proposing significantly higher levies this year due to decreases in state aid.
The annual meeting will take place in the all-purpose room.
