The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department has issued the following media release:

The Kenosha Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Home Invasion/Homicide which occurred at about 12:10 this morning in the 23900 block of Highway K, in Brighton Township in Kenosha County. A 50-year old male was killed during the home invasion.

The initial call was received at about 12:10 a.m. A female at the residence at that location reported that “men with guns” had entered the residence and were downstairs fighting with the male victim. She then reported that the male victim was bleeding and the men had left the residence.

An alert deputy heard the call over the radio, responded to the scene, and almost immediately saw a speeding car heading west on Highway K from the area. He followed the vehicle west to Highway 75 and then south on Highway 75, where the stop was made on Highway 83 just south of Highway 50.

Four male suspects were located in the car, along with weapons. They were immediately taken into custody. The four suspects are currently being interviewed by Kenosha Sheriff’s Department detectives. This does not appear to have been a random act.

Sheriff David G. Beth will be holding a press conference at 10:30 a.m. this morning at the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department Pre-Trial Center, 1000-55th St, to provide further details.

Note: West of the I will be at the press conference. Check back for more information when it becomes available.
