The community volunteer building of two playgrounds in Salem’s new community park got started Friday morning despite persistent rain.
As town administrator Patrick Casey remarked as he wrenched bolts in the rain, with a community build people have made time in their schedule so you’ve got to go ahead.
The building will continue Saturday. Then wood chips will be put under the play equipment once the ground hardens, Casey said.
