Beware! There is a new version of Dracula a foot to raise funds for the Seno Woodland Education Center.

This version of Dracula is closely based on Bram Stoker”s classic novel of the same name. A young lawyer is assigned to a gloomy village in the mists of Eastern Europe. He is captured and imprisoned by the undead vampire Dracula, who subsequently travels to London, inspired by a photograph of the lawyer’s betrothed. In Britain, Dracula begins a reign of seduction and terror.

Dr. Seward presides over a nearby mental hospital and the locality has acquired a new resident, Count Dracula! A trio of doctors, a young reporter and a stouthearted English lord battle the count for possession of the lovely heroine. With a dash of Holmesian sleuthing in this Baskerville hound country setting, our heroes save the heroine and dispatch the count in the traditional manner.

This play is an entertaining mystery filled with all the elements of a Gothic horror story: swooping bats (not real), exploding lights, bumbling English lords, romantic encounters, and, of course, the titanic confrontation of Dr. Van Helsing with his powerful nemesis Count Dracula.

Show times are Friday Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and Senior Citizens.
