Fisher Investment Group held a golf outing fundraiser at Bristol Oaks Country Club, Bristol, for the benefit of the Salem Booster Club Friday, Sept. 18.
With good participation and healthy sponsorship, Fisher Investment Group was able to donate $2,100 to the booster club, said Dan Fisher, the firm’s owner.

The Salem Booster Club is in its first year of funding and organizing all sports and extracurricular activities at Salem School. The club stepped in after the school board cut funding for all extracurriculars after a fourth tax levy referendum in the last year failed in April.
John Philippi, president of the Booster Club addressed the reception after the outing. He said this brand new effort so far has been successful in that few participants probably noticed much difference as this school year started.
“It was transparent to the kids, to the parent, to the community,” Philippi said.
He also thanked the golfers and sponsors for their support.
“I just really want to say thank you for supporting the Booster Club and making it happen,” Philippi said.
Golfers had quite a selection of goodies to chose from if their number was called in the door prize raffle.
