Detour route set for Silver Lake railroad crossing work

This railroad crossing at Cogswell Drive will be closed starting Monday for repairs. Traffic will be rerouted around the crossing. The work is expected to last three to four days.

This railroad crossing at Cogswell Drive will be closed starting Monday for repairs. Traffic will be rerouted around the crossing. The work is expected to last three to four days.

Starting Monday, it will be a little harder to get around Silver Lake on Cogswell Drive — but just for a few days.

The Canadian National Railroad crossing at Cogswell will be repaired by the railroad starting Monday. The crossing will need to be closed and traffic will be rerouted around to the Park Street crossing via Railroad Street, Park Street, Second Street and Lake Street.

The work is expected to be done by the end of the week, railroad officials have told the village.
