St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris celebrated 150 years of existence today with mass and other events.
The church had a distinguished visitor to help with the celebration — Most Reverend William Callahan, auxiliary bishop of the Milwaukee Archdiocese.

Marijo Rommelfaenger signs a register just inside the church door. All those attending were encouraged to sign the record, which will go in a new time capsule.
About the work that went into the celebration, Michael Gallagher, chairman of the Church Common Council, said: “It’s amazing how hard people worked to make this a success.”
