Paul Brown Jr. of Twin Lakes submitted this photo, which he took from his yard , of this week’s meteor shower.
“Took over 300 thirty-second exposures and ended up with one good one,” Brown said. The photo was taken at about 4 a.m., Wednesday.

The shower was part of the the Perseid shower, which occurs each summer when the Earth’s orbit crosses the path the “tail” of the Swift-Tuttle Comet.
