It may finally feel like real summer in Western Kenosha County, but the Bristol Town Board Monday apparently had colder times on their minds.
The board approved the purchase of a new plow truck for $157,916.
The 2010 truck will replace in active duty a 1985 Ford truck, town administrator Randy Kerkman said. The older truck will be kept as a back-up.
The truck is being purchased from Lakeside International Trucks, Janesville. It is a single axle model with a wing plow.
The bid was the highest of three received, but was the only one that fit all specs, Kerkman said.
Delivery on the truck is expected by Thanksgiving.
