Mom arrested for tanning while leaving kids pleads guilty

The woman arrested in Twin Lakes for leaving her children unattended while she tanned at a tanning parlor has pleaded guilty to two felony charges of  second degree recklessly endangering safety, state court records show.

Yolanda E. Kruse, of Racine, was arrested by police after it was reported that her children, 2 years old and an infant, were unattended in a car in a parking lot in the 300 block of North Lake Avenue in May.

Kruse was initially charged with first degree recklessly endangering safety, but pleaded guilty to the lesser second degree charge in Kenosha County Circuit Court Wednesday.

Those charges may be reduced to misdemeanors if Kruse does not commit further crimes in the next year.
