The Wisconsin Lightning 14U

The Wisconsin Lightning struck early and often in the 14U National Softball Association “B” World Series Softball Championship this week in Merrillville, Ind.

The Lightning finished far ahead of the other 80 teams in the 14U brackets with 56 runs to their opponents 16 and a 9-0 record to bring home the trophy as World Series Champs.

Highlights include: two home runs by Bailey Hess; an over-the-fence grand slam by Hannah Foltz; numerous strikeout pitches by Sarah Fonk and Jorie Brenner; double plays involving Brittney Blazich, Kelsey Saucerman, Ashley Webster, Sarah Vozel, and Meghan Milewski; catches by Stephanie Parks; and many hits by Kayla Cooper.
