Five potential trustees were interviewed by the Village Board at a special meeting tonight.
Afterwards, the board convened an executive session to discuss the matter, but no decision was made tonight. An appointment by village President Marlene Goodson, and a subsequent vote by the board, is expected at next Wednesday’s regale monthly meeting.
The point of contention between Goodson and the board. Goodson has contended state statutes give her the authority to make the appointment, which the board can then approve or reject. Trustees have wanted more say in who is appointed.
