A request to conduct a water ski show on Powers Lake this summer was approved by the Randall Town Board.
The show, organized by Bob Bonifas, will take place Aug. 2 just west of the Department of Natural Resources launch. A time was not given.
Supervisor Ken Mangold said Bonifas conducted a similar show two years ago. Mangold saw it himself and considered it enjoyable.
But Supervisor Rose Nolan wanted to know if any notification was given to neighbors.
“I think it just sets a good precedent when we talk to people,” Nolan said.
Chairman Robert Stoll said he felt enough advance notification is given about town business to make the board accessible to people who have concerns.
Mangold said he did not see a problem with the show.
“As long as they’re not blocking access to any piers, I don’t think this will cause a problem,” Mangold said,
