The Twin Lakes Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District passed a 2010 budget Monday night. The total budget was the same as the 2009 budget — $232,000.

Among the highlights:

$45,000 for the dam modification project. This relates to the dam that controls water levels on lakes Mary and Elizabeth. Steering Committee Chairman Robert Livingston said more details would be available at a future meeting about the status of this ongoing project, which includes constructing a spillway for the dam.

$5,000 for fish stocking. The lake district would use its funds for 7- to 9-inch walleye. A simultaneous state Department of Natural Resources stocking will use 2-inch walleye. Livingston told the district board, who are the village president and trustees, that 90 percent of 2-inch walleye would not survive.
