Parks are generally green spaces in any form. But two Bristol parks will be looking a little greener thanks to the efforts of the Public Works Department.

Starting last Friday, the town is planting trees at Veteran’s Park, adjacent to the Town hall property, and at Hansen Park, the site of Progress Days.

The town has been purchasing trees through the  county tree purchase program for several years and keeping them at the wastewater treatment plant, said town administrator Randy Kerkman. Now seemed like a good time to start getting them into the ground.

Holes were dug for the trees and some were planted Friday.
