Twin Lakes held its annual Memorial Day ceremony and parade Monday.
Joseph M. Nilles, commander of American Legion Post 544, summed up the meaning of the day at the ceremony following the parade at Legion Park:

The Wilmot High School Marching Band, fresh from a trip to Canada, played first at the Silver Lake parade and then hustled over to Twin Lakes to play in the parade and ceremony there.

Cub Scouts from Pack 380 walked the parade.
Joanne Maiter, Legion Auxiliary, and American Legion Post 544 Chaplain George Reehoff place a wreath at the flagpole outside the Legion Hall in Legion Park.
Afterwards, there were hot dogs and soda for participants in the parade, such as these musicians from one of the two Randall School bands on hand.
These crosses placed outside the Legion Hall represent the 93 Wisconsin residents that have died in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
