A first taste of summer-like weather is forecast for today and tomorrow.
The National Weather Service is calling for a high today of 87 hereabouts. The full effect of that warmth will be tempered somewhat by a south wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Tomorrow, the mercury could reach 81, with a 20 percent chance of showers. Then the predicted high plummets to 69 Friday.
