How about a balloon flight with your pancakes?

All Boy Scout pancake breakfasts will do a good job filling you up. But Troop 381’s breakfast could take you up to the sky as well.

Tethered balloon rides were an option at the troop’s pancake breakfast this morning. The balloon, Easy Wind, piloted and owned by John Trione of Lake Geneva Balloon Co., took riders up for a glimpse of the country side as part of the day’s fundraising.

Trione said he tried to do this in conjunction with the Scouts’  breakfast for seven years, but was not able to because of unfavorable weather. But the still air of Sunday morning made it a go this time around.

Here’s some video. It starts with a view from inside the basket and finishes with a view from the ground of a takeoff.

Some photos of the more conventional part of the breakfast:

After taking these photos, I had to buy a ticket and eat, it looked so good. And it was.
